Test Automation Engineer

As a Test Automation Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our key customer-facing software products. Your responsibilities will include: - Exciting opportunity to work in a challenging start-up environment. - Conducting manual and automated software testing in a web-based product development setup. - Understanding functional documents provided by the internal team and estimating tasks accordingly. - Identifying test scenarios, developing test cases, and performing release-based Functional and Regression testing. - Reporting defects and ensuring timely closure of reported issues by closely interacting with the development team. - Participating in client meetings and review sessions to provide valuable insights. - Ensuring adherence to Quality management, Quality processes, standards, and documentation. - Providing prompt customer support and timely resolution of support calls. To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: - At least 3+ years of experience in manual testing, with a minimum of 2+ years in Automation of web applications. - Proficiency in Automation testing tools like QTP/UFT or Selenium. - Strong knowledge of STLC, software testing methodologies, and procedures. - Ability to develop and execute test cases in an application development environment. - Experience in using Automation tools like UFT/Selenium and hands-on scripting in VBScript or Java would be a plus. - Proficient in defect reporting using any defect tracking tools. - Excellent communication skills and a team player spirit.
