Telecom Engineer

You will be responsible for supporting telecom infrastructure projects by coordinating and securing necessary permits from City, County, State, and other regulatory authorities for fiber and other telecom deployment. As a Telecom Engineer Permits, your role will involve preparing and submitting permit applications, reviewing engineering drawings, and site plans to ensure compliance, liaising with various agencies for permit approvals, and coordinating with internal teams to align project timelines with permits. Your key responsibilities will include preparing and submitting permit applications for fiber optic installations, reviewing engineering drawings and site plans for compliance, liaising with city, county, and state agencies for permit approvals, coordinating with internal teams to align project timelines, maintaining accurate records of permit submissions, approvals, rejections, and revisions, resolving permitting issues, staying up-to-date with permitting guidelines and codes. To qualify for this position, you should hold any graduate degree with relevant experience and have at least 2 years of experience in telecom permitting or related roles. You should be familiar with permitting processes for fiber networks, have experience working with permitting software and GIS tools, possess a strong understanding of local, state, and federal telecom regulations, and have excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred skills for this role include experience working with DOTs, municipalities, and utility companies, knowledge of environmental and historical preservation permitting, and proficiency in AutoCAD.,
