Description
We are looking for skilled and detail-oriented Tekla Modelers with over 4 years of experience in structural steel detailing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate 3D models and generating shop and erection drawings using Tekla Structures, ensuring compliance with project specifications and steel detailing standards. Role & responsibilities Develop accurate 3D models of structural steel components (columns, beams, braces, stairs, handrails, etc.) using Tekla Structures. Generate detailed shop drawings, erection drawings, assembly drawings, and material lists (BOQ/BOM). Apply appropriate connections, welds, bolts, and fabrication standards based on design drawings and project requirements. Interpret architectural and structural drawings to ensure modeling accuracy. Coordinate with team leads, engineers, and checkers to resolve technical issues. Follow company standards, client specifications, and applicable codes (AISC, BS, IS, etc.). Participate in model reviews and implement feedback as needed. Ensure quality and timely delivery of modeling outputs. Required Qualifications & Skills: Diploma/Degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline. Minimum 4 years of experience in structural steel modeling using Tekla Structures. Proficient in reading and interpreting structural and architectural drawings. Solid understanding of steel detailing, fabrication standards, and connection types. Good knowledge of industry standards such as AISC, NISD, or equivalent. Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working on international projects (US, UK, Australia, Middle East). Familiarity with Tekla templates, custom components, and drawing settings. Knowledge of other software such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or Revit is a plus.
