Technology Transfer Executive/ Senior Executive

Ability to independently conduct/execute the following:

• Closely monitoring the process development activities and support for process engineering related activities in bringing up a robust manufacturing process.
• Evaluating the developed process in view of commercial manufacturing and get the required what-if data generated.
• To perform process engineering calculations (Line sizing, relief load, PSV and vent size etc.) for equipment mapping, selection of utilities etc.
• To perform mass and energy balance calculations and use the same in designing a scalable flow of operations.
• Preparation of technical documents (like compatibility, time-volume sheets, PFD, P& ID & ETP load) for the new products and submitting to QA.
• Executing pilot, commercial batches and compiling the plant data, trail report should be compiled as on need basis.
• Troubleshooting in the plant operations during the execution of new products.
• Coordinate for Preliminary Hazard analysis, HAZOP studies and execute plant batches following the recommendations of HAZOP studies.
• Prepare process safety assessment reports to support scale-up activities.
• Compilation of technology transfer documents.
• Provide technical support to scale-up campaigns in kilo lab and pilot plant.
• Reviewing all aspects of design and construction for consistency and safety,
• Process Safety evolution (i.e., RC1e, Thermal screening unit and powder safety studies) based on PSI data and prepare report to further justify the client questionnaire.
• To follow the respective functional & QMS SOPs.
• Maintenance and usage of equipment/apparatus/instruments as per SOPs and general housekeeping norms.
• Identification and proposal of new technologies required for up-coming products.
• To prepare the details of learnings during execution of commercial scale batches and communicate the same to cross-functional teams for further optimization.
• To participate in project closure discussions.

Ensure safety and Compliance at work place:

• Ensure that adequate infrastructure and processes are in place to follow safety requirements.
• Ensure that all safety & compliance requirements have been adhered while executing the process safety studies.
• Implement safety and quality systems in the lab and communicate the same to team members
• Ensure safety and lab equipment under team control.
• To support in QMS related activities like Change control, deviation, complaints and CAPA.

Maintain records, data integrity and IP confidentiality:

• Ensure update all documentation in a timely manner.
• Maintain IP confidentiality and adhere to all related policies.

Ensure high morale and skill development of self and team:

• Guiding a team of chemists to meet productivity/ quality targets.
• Improve knowledge of Scale up other technologies through one on one discussions with supervisor/ regular classroom trainings/ project trainings/ further educational programs etc.
• Provide guidance and training to team members on safety protocols and ensure compliance.
• Technical guidance to Process Engineers to carry out process design work as per the requirements of the Project.
