Job Description

Role Responsibilities:

Create and maintain electronic or paper-based medical records, including patient demographics, medical history, diagnoses, treatments, and test results.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and security of patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
Review and abstract medical records for billing and reimbursement, ensuring proper diagnosis, procedures, and treatments are coded.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate completion of medical records and documentation.
Respond to requests for medical records, ensuring appropriate release of information.

Job Requirements:

Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems.
Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical record-keeping software.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling medical records.
Good communication skills to manage patient records and collaborate with healthcare providers.
Experience in conducting audits and quality assurance reviews for medical records.
