Technician / Designer - Highways (AutoCAD/Microstation)

Role Overview: As a Technician / Designer for Highways at Jacobs, you will be working on Transportation projects focusing on Highways, Drainage, and Land Development projects. Your role will involve utilizing your technical skills in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and potentially C3D or Open Roads tools. Additionally, you will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in MS Outlook and MS Office applications, along with good communication and IT skills. Your ability to work as a self-starter, develop automation in CAD processes, and experience in Global Design Centre business will be highly valued. Key Responsibilities: - Proficiently work on CAD modeling for Transportation projects related to Highways, Drainage, and Land Development - Utilize AutoCAD, MicroStation, and potentially C3D or Open Roads tools in project development - Demonstrate expertise in MS Outlook, MS Office applications, and effective communication skills - Act as a self-starter to develop automation in CAD processes - Review and check models and drawings produced by others - Collaborate effectively as part of a team in a typical Highways design cycle - Plan work efficiently to make optimum use of time Qualification Required: - Diploma in Civil Draftsman or equivalent - 3 years Diploma in Civil Engineering or a degree in the same field is preferred - 5 to 12 years of proven experience in infrastructure projects with a focus on detailed design of Highways and drainage utilizing BIM/modelling skills,
