Role Overview: As a Technician / Designer - Highways at Jacobs, you will be responsible for working on Transportation projects related to Highways, Drainage, and Land Development. Your role will involve designing and CAD modeling for various projects in different regions. Key Responsibility: - Proficient in AutoCAD / MicroStation and working knowledge in C3D or Open Roads tools. - Experience with highway projects in ANZ/ASIA/Middle East/UK/USA projects is desirable. - Proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and good communication & IT skills. - Self-starter and keen to develop automation in CAD processes. - Experience in Global Design Centre business is preferred. - Several years of experience working within the engineering and design sector, preferably with a background in Highways and Drainage. - Experience in Highway/Drainage CAD layouts and working with ProjectWise. - Working knowledge of BIM and drawing processes. - Proficient in CAD/BIM software, particularly AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Navisworks. - Clear understanding of highways design hierarchy, models, Data Shortcuts, and drawings. - Checking/reviewing models and drawings produced by others. - Ability to plan work efficiently and effectively as part of a team. - Good awareness of a typical Highways design cycle. Qualification Required: - Diploma in Civil Draftsman or a 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering (degree preferred). - 5 to 12 years of proven experience in infrastructure projects, detail design of Highways and drainage with BIM/modelling skills.
