Technical Writer

You will be joining Bose Professional, a leader in the professional audio industry, as a Software Technical Writer. In this role, you will collaborate with engineering and product management teams to create user documentation for software products. Your responsibilities will include writing, editing, and designing help files, participating in documentation planning sessions, creating images and videos, and recommending documentation formats. You will also need to report usability concerns, work on product requirements, and support company objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Write, edit, and design help files for software products - Participate in documentation planning sessions and maintain project status using tools like Jira - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather technical data - Create images and videos for customer usability - Report usability and functional concerns to Engineering team - Recommend documentation formats responsive to technical and customer requirements - Work with the development team on product requirements - Support Company objectives by completing additional tasks as needed Qualifications: - Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills - Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects - Adaptability to variable project requirements and deadlines - Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams - Understanding of high-level software architecture - Proficiency in MadCap Flare, HTML5, CSS, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, Confluence, Adobe Creative Suite - Bachelor of Arts degree in English, Technical Communication, Professional Writing, or related discipline - 5+ years of experience in user-facing technical documentation for software products - 3+ years of experience in designing and implementing user experiences through technical documentation Join Bose Professional's team in Mangalore, India, on a full-time basis in a hybrid work environment.
