Purpose To provide timely and accurate technical assistance to internal clients (FLC India Sales, Purchase, Production, and Quality) and external customers (OEM, OES, and Retail) on hoses, connectors, rigid tubes, hose assembly and tube assembly products sold by FLC India. Main responsibilities - - Detailed analysis of various customer technical specifications, drawings & product application requirements Product selection relevant to customer technical specifications and product application requirements, under the guidance/direction of FLC Global Technical Team - - Preparation and issuing of BOM based on Customer RFQ received from FLC India Sales Team, enabling timely response to the RFQ by the Sales Force Preparation and proper archiving of technical documents, drawings, reports, ECN, etc., and their emission to FLC India Quality, Production and Sales teams up on request - Defining and issuing of technical specification and codification of connectors and accessories purchased by FLC India in coordination with suppliers, FLCI Purchase and FLC global technical team Main routine tasks Support FLCI Sales Team by promptly providing BOMs against customer RFQs - - Prepare 2D and 3D drawings of hose assembly, bent tube and bent tube hose assemblies with detailed dimensions using Auto-Desk and/or Solid Works to support FLCI QA in PPAP activities Support FLCI Production, Quality, Purchase and Sales in change manage management (changes in technical process parameters, product phase-in/phase- out, ECN documentation, etc.) - - Upload product technical data and materials declarations in IMDS & CDX databases to update and maintain OEM customer's requirement for declaration of materials compliance to local and international regulations. Support FLCI Sales Team in preparing technical presentations on Product Features and USPs to potential OEM clients - - Any other task assigned by the direct supervisor Position in the Organization Reporting structure and personnel responsible Reporting directly to Global OEM Projects Leader of FLCOEM Tech. Standard job description Apr-25 Job title Technical Support Engineer Education / Experience Education: - Bachelors Degree in Engineering (preferably in Mechanical / Industrial Process / Materials Engineering or related field) Experience - At least 2 years in technical design / product support, applications engineering of high-pressure hydraulics components and accessories - Experience in technical management of hydraulic products will be a plus point Further requirements & qualifications behavior must be in line with Company Core Values & Ethical Codes strict adherence to Company policies and procedures strong ability to create, read and interpret engineering drawings/designs & schematics good knowledge of English (written & spoken) + Technical Report writing skill practical knowledge of CAD 2D/3D design systems (Auto-Desk Inventor or Solid Works) good knowledge of hydraulic systems (hoses, tubes, connectors, assembling processes) Proficiency in MS Office, product database and ERP/CRM (SAP) tools should work with engineered cost reduction approach during product selection ability to work in multi-national multi-cultural teams with team spirit & cooperation proactivity, persistence and flexibility to adapt quickly to work priority changes good communication skills in English & Hindi (other Indian or foreign language will be a plus) Willing to travel occasionally for on-site customer support
