Technical Superintendent

The position involves ensuring that nominated vessels are maintained and operated in accordance with Statutory Instruments, Company Policy, Safety Management System, Industry Best Practice, and Vessel Owners Requirements. As the single point of accountability, you will monitor all onboard activities, provide Technical & Operational Guidance and Support to the Master & crew of nominated vessels, and ensure Safety & Environmental Compliance with respect to Statutory Regulations, Company Policy, Safety Management System, Industry Best Practice, and owners" requirements. You will closely monitor and support all operations onboard nominated vessels to ensure full compliance with regulations, policies, and requirements while meeting efficiency & economic expectations. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with Wallems SMS, flag and class rules, state requirements, TMSA, and other vetting agencies" conformance. Responsible for all budgetary expenditure on nominated vessels, you will provide timely reports & analysis to Fleet Manager(s) and Owner(s), operate vessels within KPIs set out by Wallems SMS, maintain safety and pollution prevention, and collaborate with other departments of Wallem to meet commercial expectations. Acting as the Client/Owners point of contact, you will ensure the highest level of customer Service & Satisfaction, protect the Wallem brand and employees from risk, and provide Direction, Coaching, Guidance, and Evaluation of senior sea staff. You will maintain a thorough knowledge of current Technical Superintendents Work Instructions, monitor and optimize vessels and seafarers performance, review and provide feedback on development areas of seafarers, and act as part of the Shore base Emergency Response team when required. Qualifications required for this position include an Engineer Officer Qualification with a First Class Chief Engineers Motor license from an IMO whitelist country or a Degree in Marine Engineering/Naval Architecture/Mechanical Engineering, and a minimum of 2 years sailing experience as Senior Engineer onboard or as Technical Superintendent or Fleet Manager within the Maritime Industry ashore.,
