Technical Specialist (Training & Capacity Building)- Livelihoods

Role & responsibilities

The position will work closely with the Technical Specialist (Livelihoods) and will design the training modules on the basis of the livelihood pathways identified for selected participants of the programme. The position will also be responsible for documentation of programme learning and dissemination to support the scale-up and replication of successful approaches.

Preferred candidate profile

• Masters Degree in Rural Development, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, and/ or allied Social Sciences, or a relevant field.

• Minimum work experience of 10-12 years

  in a similar profile, focused on rural poverty alleviation, livelihood or social development initiatives. Of this, at least five years of experience should be in the field of training and module development for rural livelihood enhancement. Experience of working with digital platforms for the design of training and regular handholding support would be an advantage.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in Telugu and English

  . Experience of designing training curriculum in vernacular will be an advantage
• Experience of working closely with rural grassroots communities, especially for capacity-building, social protection and rural development
• Experience in applying strong interpersonal skills to support teams in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and multicultural environment.
• Willingness to work in remote rural areas the position will require extensive travel across the five programme implementation districts.
• Must enjoy working in horizontal, cross-functional teams across departments and institutions; needs to be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, as well as situational authority and leadership.
• Should be capable of meeting short deadlines and producing quality materials with a fast turnaround.
• Solution-oriented, creative problem-solver, who can be versatile and is willing to work around obstacles.
