Technical Specialist (L2 RE)

• Handling Technical & process escalations to ensure services are met within agreed SLA.
• Escalation Engagement with L3 & L4 for escalated /complex troubleshooting and pending issue.
• Maintain accurate network documentation and generate reports.
• Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity & scalability.
• Accomplishing organizational goals by accepting ownership for new requests; exploring opportunities to add value to Business. Technical skillsets required Wired and Wireless skillsets.
• Deploy, configure, and optimize enterprise wired and wireless networks to meet business and performance requirements.
• Configure and manage network switches, including VLANs, STP, LACP, ACLs, DHCP relay and basic security features.
• Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot wireless networks, including SSID configuration, authentication (WPA2/3, 802. 1X)
• Optimize RF performance, ensuring seamless roaming, minimal interference, and enhanced coverage.
• Diagnose and resolve wireless connectivity issues, RF interference, and wired/wireless network anomalies.
• Implement and manage network access control, guest Wi- Fi solutions, and captive portals.
• Perform firmware upgrades, stacking configurations, backups, and troubleshooting using CLI & GUI tools.
• Experience in deploying and managing Juniper Mist AI- driven network solutions with cloud- based monitoring and automation.
• Hands- on expertise in configuring, optimizing, and troubleshooting Ruckus wired and wireless networks, including SmartZone, Zone Director, and Unleashed platforms. Firewall skillsets (Fortinet and Juniper SRX)
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Fortinet firewalls.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Juniper SRX firewalls.
• Firewall policies, security zones, and segmentation.
• NAT (Source, Destination, Static) and Virtual IP (VIP) configurations.
• SSL VPN and IPsec VPN (site- to- site and remote access)
• FortiGuard UTM features (IPS, Web Filtering, Antivirus, Application Control)
• High Availability (HA) clustering and failover configuration.
• Fortinet SD- WAN configuration and performance optimization.
• Centralized logging and monitoring using FortiAnalyzer & FortiManager.

Requirements

• Knowledge of the Linux Operating system, Python scripting, APIs, Automation tools like Ansible, Postman are added advantages.
