Technical Sales Engineer for South India

The role at PGE involves working closely with OEMs & Equipment End Users to provide sealing solutions for critical high temperature and pressure application areas across various industries such as Process Plants, Energy, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Food, and Pharma. As a Sales Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to travel and visit industries within your designated territory to demonstrate the benefits of using superior sealing solutions. By understanding the customer's industry and aligning technical solutions with their expectations, you will contribute to reducing equipment downtime and improving production efficiency. While technical training will be provided, a strong sales acumen is essential for success in this role. Effective communication skills in both the local language and English, including writing and reading, are required. Proficiency in using digital tools and computer literacy is also necessary. The role will involve a significant amount of travel within the designated territory, approximately 75%. Key responsibilities include creating regional sales plans, analyzing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, addressing challenges, suggesting solutions, introducing new services/products, recommending innovative sales techniques, conducting client meetings, maintaining regular follow-ups, forecasting quarterly targets, supporting team members, reporting on sales achievements, developing product approval strategies, providing customer service from requirements to order completion, delivering technical presentations, and other assigned activities. Qualifications for this role include technical sales and sales engineering skills, strong communication abilities in English and the local language, possession of a valid driving license for a minimum of a two-wheeler or four-wheeler vehicle, sales experience (preferred but dependent on attitude), excellent problem-solving skills, technical aptitude, a curious and learning-oriented mindset, and a minimum diploma degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (a bachelor's degree is preferred).
