Technical Project Director

About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished Technical Project Director with over 20 years of proven experience in leading large-scale IT and business transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in project governance, implementation management, stakeholder engagement, and delivery leadership across multi-domain, multi-geography environments.

This role involves strategic oversight of multiple implementation projects, ensuring quality delivery, optimal resource utilization, and customer satisfaction while fostering innovation and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for multiple concurrent implementation projects across service lines and technology domains.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery from project initiation to post-deployment, ensuring timely, quality, and cost-effective execution.
• Drive project governance, compliance, and standardization across delivery processes and methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, QA, PMO, and Customer Success) to ensure seamless implementation and service delivery

• Lead customer engagement at the senior management level to ensure satisfaction and alignment with business goals.
• Define and monitor KPIs, productivity metrics, risk mitigation strategies, and project health checks.
• Supervise and mentor Project Managers, providing leadership, performance feedback, and guidance for continuous improvement.
• Manage program budgets, resource planning, and forecasting to optimize operational efficiency.
• Support business expansion and pre-sales activities by contributing to proposals, solution designs, and customer presentations.
• Oversee Agile and hybrid project methodologies, ensuring adaptability and process maturity across teams.
• Ensure all customer implementations, integrations, and SaaS-based deployments are delivered successfully within agreed SLAs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• 20+ years of experience in IT Project/Program Management, with at least 8 years in leadership or director-level roles.
• Certified in PMP / PRINCE2 Practitioner / ITIL v4 or equivalent.
• Strong experience in CRM, ERP, or SaaS-based implementations and enterprise transformation programs.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, and MS Office Suite.
• Deep understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to engage executive-level stakeholders.
• Experience in change management, governance, and global delivery operations.
