Technical Lead - SAP BI

Your role at ZEISS Digital:

You will play a crucial role within data integration processes for Data Analytics and actively contribute to the success of the digital transformation at ZEISS. In this challenging function, you will develop and administrate SAP BI Cloud and On-Premise solutions at Zeiss in all its phases, by participating in proof of concept projects, focusing on developing cutting-edge applications by using the newest BI tools released by SAP especially in the Cloud which will imply critical support activities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintenance of SAP and HANA systems on hybrid landscapes on-premise and cloud (mainly on Azure)
• Knowledge of SAP application architecture and infrastructure
• Install, configure and upgrade of SAP systems and HANA Databases
• Provide technical support during SAP systems upgrades and system copies
• Perform system monitoring including HANA HA/DR replication scenarios
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting of production systems and day-to-day application issues and on-call basis
• Ensuring performance optimization and overall availability of SAP systems.
• Develop and maintain interfaces and data integration processes
• Support ETL scenarios such as SAP SDI, Data Intelligence, Data services and their performance improvement and troubleshooting
• Implementation and maintenance of system security
• Linux server administration related to SAP environment and housekeeping. Scripting knowledge good to have.
• Must have experience of working on SAP ECC; SAP BW including NW 7.5 and BW4/HANA is a big advantage
• Stay current with SAP and HANA technology advancements and best practices

Requirements:

• 5-8 years of experience in SAP Basis and HANA administration
• Technical or University Degree in computer science, software engineering or similar field
• Strong experience with cloud-based SAP systems and HANA databases mainly on Microsoft Azure
• Experience with HANA database administration including installation, configuration, and upgrades
• SAP Hana certification is added advantage
• Experience on data integrations scenarios with SAP S/4, HANA, BW and BW4HANA
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Data Intelligence and SAP Data Warehouse Cloud are added advantages
• Knowledge on SAP Best Practices with technical implementation experience and working in an agile setup
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced English language skills
• Good communication with peers, technical teams, and business representatives.
• Experience working within an international environment
