Bachelor/ Master Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or relevant field with 7-10 years of Linux and Unix experience.
PRIMARY :
Linux and Unix Expert
-
Own the technical product lifecycle for Linux/Unix administration services, from design to decommission.

Involvement in the technical stack of the products solutions : CentOS, Suze, HP-UX, SunOS, AIX, RHEL4, RHEL5, RHEL 7.5, RHEL 8.6 and the next standard masters RHEL9, RHEL10

Enhance security & monitoring on existing master RHEL 7.5 & 8* and future RHEL9 & 10.

Support decommissioning of old domain NIS & NIS+ usage to foster Active Directory domain usage.

Eliminate outdated devices and unix systems by providing modern solutions and taking account of business high constraints (legacy)

Make the Linux master installation solution more effective (Red Hat satellite infrastructure)

Implement a global component management governance (by using our internal Artifactory)

Review and get updated existing Unix & Linux documentations and KB (knowledge base)

Secure the integration of solutions across applications, systems and platforms to achieve business objectives.

Participate in technical and functional architecture definition, follow and challenge the activity from the project phase to the operation management based on business perspective and in compliance with quality, SLA & budget.

Define and maintain the technical product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and IT strategy.

Collaborate with SMEs (admins, architects), security, and regional teams to ensure services meet performance, compliance, and operational standards.

Prioritize features and capabilities through a backlog, driving delivery through agile or hybrid frameworks.

Oversee and improve user experience, reliability, and scalability of Linux/Unix services.

Establish metrics and KPIs for service health, user satisfaction, and continuous improvement.

Manage vendor relationships, licensing, and budget for tools related to Linux/Unix service delivery.

Serve as a trusted advisor to business units, understanding needs and translating them into technical product requirements.

Champion automation, self-service, and modernization within the Linux/Unix technical product space.
IT Service Management & Strategic Responsibilities :

Good knowledge of ITIL and experience with ITSM frameworks, particularly Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Demand, Event, and Knowledge Management.

Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems (Red Hat, Ubuntu, SunOS, HP-UX, AIX, etc.) from a product or operational standpoint.

Experience working in a large enterprise or global environment with cross-regional stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to manage complex roadmaps, lead cross-functional teams, and make data-driven decisions.

Familiarity with ITIL, Agile/Scrum, and product lifecycle management tools.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Capable of managing Partners, Suppliers, and Subcontractors.
GOOD TO HAVE:

Hands-on experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, scripting etc ).

Exposure to security and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CIS Benchmarks).

Experience with cloud-based Linux workloads (AWS, Azure, etc.).

Previous work in a hybrid infrastructure environment.

Comprehensive knowledge to manage, deploy, and optimize macOS environments, delivering secure, high-performance, and seamless user experiences on Mac devices.
Responsibilities:
As our Technical Lead for Linux & Unix Administration, youll be the driving force behind our enterprise-wide Linux/Unix platform services. Youll own the end-to-end lifecycle, setting the product vision and roadmap to align services with our overarching business and IT strategy. Youll collaborate closely with technical teams, security, and stakeholders to elevate service reliability, user experience, and compliance.
Knowledge of macOS (MAC) and Jamf administration is an added advantage, including experience with
device enrollment (DEP/ADE), patch management, application deployment, policy configuration, and advanced troubleshooting for Apple devices.
This role demands a strategic mind, capable of prioritizing capabilities, managing the product backlog, and championing automation and modernization while ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement.
