Technical Head System and Network Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Head to lead and manage our organizations IT infrastructure including hardware, networking, and server operations. This leadership role will be responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining robust systems that support business needs with high availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership & Strategy

• Lead the IT infrastructure team (hardware, network, server support).
• Define and implement long-term infrastructure strategies aligned with business goals.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies and infrastructure solutions.

2. Hardware & Asset Management

• Oversee procurement, setup, and maintenance of hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, etc.).
• Maintain inventory and lifecycle management of all hardware assets.
• Ensure timely upgrade and replacement planning.

3. Network & Security Management

• Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN, firewalls, routers, switches.
• Manage network performance, uptime, and monitoring systems.
• Ensure proper implementation of security protocols, VPNs, and firewalls.

4. Server & Data Center Administration

• Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of on-premises and cloud-based servers (Windows/Linux).
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, mail servers, and backup systems.
• Ensure high availability, failover systems, and disaster recovery plans.

5. IT Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide Tier 3 support for escalated technical issues.
• Establish IT policies, procedures, and documentation standards.
• Ensure minimal downtime and quick issue resolution.

6. Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain compliance with data security standards (ISO, GDPR, etc.).
• Ensure documentation of configurations, licenses, and policies.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux server environments.
• Proficiency in network design and firewall management (Cisco, Sophos, Fortinet, SonicWall, etc.).
• Hands-on with cloud platforms.
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and project management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
