Technical Business Analyst

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Business Analyst with 4+ years of experience, preferably in the Banking or Capital Markets domain, to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in regulatory reporting projects, strong knowledge of financial instruments such as derivatives and OTC derivatives, and a solid understanding of Agile (Scrum) methodology. Experience in SQL is also required to support data analysis and validation tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements (BRD) and functional requirements (FRD).
• Develop and maintain traceability matrices to ensure requirements are accurately tracked through the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate and participate in requirement workshops, discussions, and scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
• Translate business needs into functional specifications that can be understood by technical teams.
• Assist in preparing and validating regulatory reporting deliverables ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
• Write and execute SQL queries to analyze data, support requirement validation, and assist in generating regulatory reports.
• Work closely with development, testing, and product teams to ensure accurate implementation of requirements.
• Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and support solution design decisions.
• Provide continuous support to the project team, clarifying requirements and resolving ambiguities during development cycles.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst in the Banking or Capital Markets domain.
• Strong understanding of financial instruments, specifically derivatives and OTC derivatives.
• Experience working in regulatory reporting projects (e.g., MiFID II, EMIR, Basel III).
• Proficient in preparing BRDs, FRDs, and traceability matrices.
• Hands-on experience working in an Agile (Scrum) development environment.
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis, validation, and report generation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.

Preferred:

• Prior experience with specific regulatory frameworks (e.g., Dodd-Frank, EMIR).
• Basic understanding of technical concepts or data models related to financial systems.
