Job Title: Technical Associate-Instrument

Job Purpose

• Support to Snr. Manager and Manager Instrumentation in ensuring Site Maintenance and Project for Instrumentation engineering.

Role and Responsibilities

• Verify and accept proper permits is prepared prior to the start of work.
• Responsible for smooth operation of instruments and Control system across the site
• Ensure to follow lifesaving rules as per organization standard to achieve zero accidents
• Taking plant round & check instrument & write observation in daily report book
• Responsible to make purchase indent & inspect material as per specification
• On-site installation & Commissioning of field instruments & Erection hardware, Loop Checking, Handling manpower to carry out commissioning and troubleshooting activities for Plant.
• Follow plant procedures for documentation of calibration and preventive maintenance activity.
• Supervise and manage External contractors, Instrument Technician as necessary, to complete onsite Instrument work.
• Troubleshoot faults on wellhead platform pneumatic & SMART electronic instrumentation.
• Analyze the root causes of any breakdown of the plant, and follow the action plan
• Review design specifications, Loop drawing calibration report for new or existing equipment and instrumentation.
• Knowledge of ISO documents
• Attend daily meetings to receive and discuss for Field instrument problems with production
• P&ID reviews with the process team, participation in risk analysis sessions
• Selection of instrument technology, prepare and review data sheets
• Follow plant procedures for documentation of calibration activity as per ISO Standard.
• Carry out technical reliability and organizational projects in order to improve performance of field instruments.
• Organize and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance operations and monitor their achievements for instrumentation dept.
• Define maintenance strategies on field instruments and plan to keep Minimum inventory.
• Review daily and weekly accomplishment reports and resolve problems encountered during project erection and commissioning recommend remedial action as field information request for implementation of minor design changes.

Required Knowledge (of any equipment / Tools and techniques / Software)

• Well versed with Industrial codes like ISO, PESO, and knowledge of Area classification standard i.e. ATEX etc.
• Logic troubleshooting in Process Control and safety control system (Preferably YOKOGAWA CENTUM VP) for smooth and online plant maintenance will be added advantage.
• YOKOGAWA DCS engineering knowledge is the preferred
• Knowledge of the chemical and manufacturing industry international standards
• Fluent in spoken and written English, Spoken Marathi other languages are an advantage

Education & Experience

Qualification: BE Instrumentation.

Degree-: 5-7 Years
