Job Title: Technical Associate-Instrument
Department: Engineering
Location: Dahej Site IV
Job Purpose : To ensure & optimize smooth operation of all instruments.
Role and Responsibilities
Strategic:
Carrying out in house & external calibration of instruments as per schedule for proper functioning.
Operational:
Carry out & maintain safety interlocks & controlling instruments in working
Complete shutdown instrument maintenance within time limit.
Carry out instrument preventive maintenance as per schedule.
Check all received spares as per specification.
Check log book & decide jobs on priority basis.
Carry out shutdown, break down, & preventive maintenance as per schedule to reduce plant break down.
Responsible for smooth operation of instruments.
Taking plant round & check instrument & write observation in daily report book.
Inspection & checking of gas detector system as per schedule.
Responsible to indent & inspect material as per specification.
Responsible to maintain daily log book.
Responsible for monitoring of flammability & oxygen percentage in the work environment as per schedule.
Authorized to check safety of the instrument, if not stop the job
Authorized to change faulty instruments in consultation with Dy. Manager- Instrument.
Implementation of operational controls as per requirement of the operation / activity
Guide the operators in implementation of QESH & RC systems.
Ensure to follow safety norms to achieve zero accidents
Report any near miss /incident or any non compliance
To participate in Root Cause Analysis of Various safety and process safety incidents, Monitor and ensure implementation of CAPA ( Corrective Actions & Preventive Actions)
To Support Various Process safety and Responsible Care Initiatives
Report non-conformities and implementation of corrective actions
Responsible to complete any other assignment given by the senior

PLC, & SCADA
single loop, duel loop control system
Education & Experience
Essential: Diploma in Instrumentation / Electronics & Communication
Preferred:
Essential:3-5 yrs.
