Technical Applications Engineer

As a Technical Applications Engineer at Innovative Engineering Products Pvt. Ltd. (IEPPL) in Rajkot, you will be responsible for sales of products within a designated market. Your role will involve building long-term customer relationships, managing resolution to specific customer needs and issues, and identifying and developing sales opportunities. You should have a preferred experience of 1-3 years in the Metal Cutting Industry, along with a Diploma or Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical or Production. Your responsibilities will include having a working knowledge of customer products and processes, seeking opportunities for improving customer processes, and knowing how and when SANDVIK and MASTERCAM products are used. You will be interacting with customers" production and technical personnel and suppliers. Furthermore, you will need sound fundamental knowledge in various types of CNC Machines, VMC Machines, Metal Cutting Tools, and Processes. Your tasks will involve hands-on design, calculation (manual/excel), and detailed engineering for large diameter storage tanks. You will be responsible for performing design calculations and detail engineering of Metal Components, including CPC calculations and proposal preparations. Additionally, you will supervise and coordinate the implementation of machine trials and product presentations. Leading and conducting meetings, anticipating customer requests and needs, delivering concise next steps after reviewing value proposition and best practices will be part of your duties. Implementing and following safety protocols, performing pre-task plans, and all pre-operation inspections will also be essential. You may be required to collect, analyze, test, interpret, and record demonstrations. Recommending and completing corrective actions with no direction from site staff might also be necessary. You may assist in implementing reports regarding project and process information or improvements, presenting with assistance and support. Working flexible hours may also be part of your role. In terms of the work environment, you will work in an office environment and in a manufacturing environment, being exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. You may occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and trip and slip hazards. The noise level in the manufacturing environment is loud. It is crucial to maintain the highest EHS standards while at the customer's site and ensure a safety mindset throughout the designated area of responsibility. Your preferred skill sets should include excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and quality assurance. You should be detail-oriented with strong organizational, multi-tasking, time management, and project management skills. Additionally, having advanced knowledge of Excel, excellent project management skills, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate productively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment is essential. Knowledge of B2B marketing strategies and tactics, strong interpersonal and client service skills, and an outstanding ability to learn quickly, execute swiftly and accurately are also required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary as well. In your role, you will sell products to customers, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets for assigned Business Units/Product Groups. Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships, preparing sales plans, creating added value for the customer and IEPPL, ensuring efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers, managing administrative procedures in sales processes, and preparing offers will be part of your responsibilities.
