Technical Accountant

We are looking for detail-oriented professionals to join our Technical Accounting team, specializing in Reinsurance end-to-end accounting. The role involves managing complex accounting processes, ensuring compliance, and delivering accurate financial reporting for reinsurance transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end technical accounting for reinsurance contracts, including premium, claims, and commission processing.
• Ensure accurate ledger postings, reconciliations, and timely closing of accounts.
• Review and validate ceded and assumed reinsurance transactions.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and finance teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain compliance with IFRS/US GAAP and internal controls.
• Support audits and provide documentation as required.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to automation initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certifications (CA, CPA, ACCA) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles and reinsurance accounting processes.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Understanding of IFRS/US GAAP standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in insurance/reinsurance industry.
• Knowledge of regulatory reporting and statutory compliance.
• Exposure to automation tools and data analytics.
