Job Title: Client Operations (Cloud Infra VMware/Server Admin)
Location: Bengaluru Years of Experience: 5-7 Years Job Summary: We are seeking experienced Client Operations professionals to provide 24/7 support for our Global Server Operations. The ideal candidates will manage and maintain server infrastructure on platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, and Azure. This role requires a strong focus on server administration, virtualization, and proactive issue resolution. Responsibilities: Manage firmware updates on host hardware (HPE Proliant DL, Synergy Blade Servers, Cisco UCS). Configuration and management of VMware vSphere infrastructure. Handle ESXi servers, virtual machine provisioning, and HA/DRS clusters. Administration of Hyper-V hosts and clusters. Identify, record, and troubleshoot tickets as per the service catalog. Install, de-install, and refresh all physical server equipment (IMAC activities). Perform evaluations and testing of new server images. Maintain and support all CTW servers, proactively monitoring and resolving issues. Administer Microsoft Clusters and follow server lifecycle management. Report server uptime and availability to authorized users. Communicate backup schedules and maintain an up-to-date list of server owners/inventory. Escalate relevant tickets to SAP SMEs and follow up until closure. Perform Windows Server OS patching using SCCM and Chef. Write automation workflow scripts using MS PowerShell. Mandatory Skills: More than 5 years of relevant experience in IT with a minimum of 3 years in virtualization/server OS. Expert knowledge of maintenance and troubleshooting of physical or virtual servers. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware. Administration of MS Windows Servers with basics of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP. Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting. Proficient in VMware vSphere and hands-on experience with ESXi 7 and later. Good knowledge of High Availability, DRS, V-Motion, and storage migration. Experience with ITIL processes, especially incident, change, and service level management. Able to work in 24/7 support shifts. Preferred Skills: Experience with HPE ProLiant DL systems and Synergy Blades. Knowledge of networking and SQL. Experience with SCCM/Chef. Outstanding communication skills in English (written and oral). Good to have knowledge of Linux flavors (e.g., Redhat, Ubuntu, CentOS). Experience with managing Linux-based Cloud Management Platforms like OpenStack. Work experience in an international environment; software industry experience preferred. Good to have VMware Private Cloud Administration. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and technologies, possess strong decision-making abilities, and have a keen eye for detail.
