Tech Lead, Systems Engineering

As a Tech Lead, Systems Engineering at Fiserv, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the ESF/Communicator Open application to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and availability of systems. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement automation processes, troubleshoot production issues, and perform root cause analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scripting, Dynatrace, Splunk, Azure, Kubernetes, and possess the ability to analyze and resolve complex production issues. Your day-to-day tasks will involve resolving production incidents by analyzing issues, coordinating with relevant parties, and taking ownership of the situation. You will be responsible for alerts and monitoring using tools like Splunk and Dynatrace, engaging in technical discussions with business analysts and developers, optimizing SQL queries, analyzing network issues, and maintaining PKS Kubernetes Web Services environments. Additionally, you will participate in application performance testing, debugging code, performing technical evaluations of defects, and identifying areas for infrastructure/application improvement. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field, with 7-10 years of overall experience. Experience with Web Services architectures, monitoring tools, Kubernetes, troubleshooting skills, modern scripting languages, CI/CD processes, Agile methodologies, automation and scripting proficiency, Fintech market knowledge, and network architecture will be beneficial. Familiarity with ITIL standard methodologies and the ability to work flexibly in shifts or weekends based on business demands are also essential.
