About the Role

The Tech Lead - Android is a senior-level engineering role responsible for driving the architecture, development, and optimization of Android applications. This role combines hands-on coding, strategic technical leadership, and team mentorship to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and performant mobile experiences

Responsibilities:

Developing apps and building exceptional products
Working in a cross-functional and collaborative environment using cutting edge technologies that continuously drive innovation forward
Being part of a team of highly skilled and passionate people across multiple time zones
Define the technical direction for the Android team, contributing regularly to improving best
practices and mentoring less experienced developers

Requirements:

Has Minimum of 6 years of Android development experience
Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as touch
Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers
Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common
Knowledge of Jetpack Compose
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
A knack for benchmarking and optimization
Understanding of Google s Android design principles and interface guidelines
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT
Familiarity with continuous integration
