Role Overview: As a Tech Engineer at UBS, you will be responsible for translating business demand into appropriate technology solutions, producing solutions with high levels of automation, ensuring compliance with all bank and regulatory controls, and engineering robust and reliable solutions. You will act as a recognized expert in your area, work on multiple products and processes of medium to high complexity, and may be involved in coordinating strategic activities. Additionally, you will coach colleagues, identify cross-functional opportunities, and contribute to the acceptance of change in the wider organization. Key Responsibilities: - Translate business demand into appropriate technology solutions - Produce solutions with high levels of automation - Ensure compliance with all bank and regulatory controls - Engineer robust and reliable solutions - Act as a recognized expert in your area - Work on multiple products and processes of medium to high complexity - Coordinate activities, potentially of strategic nature - Coach colleagues and demonstrate excellence in your professional area - Identify cross-functional opportunities and contribute to the acceptance of change in the wider organization Qualifications Required: - Experienced in cloud native app development with Docker and Kubernetes - Experienced in GitLab and GitLab pipelines - Advanced programming skills in at least one language (Java, Python, or Go) - Good understanding of using infrastructure as code technologies, preferred Terraform - Good understanding of complex System Architectures - Good understanding of the Azure cloud ecosystem - Strong background regarding Continuous Integration build chain and tools - Strong analytic and problem-solving skills - Experience in monitoring and tuning the CI environment for high availability, efficiency, scalability, and traceability - Experience in expanding the adoption and integration of CI build chain - Experience in improving automation for repetitive tasks and reporting - Experience in supporting technical concepts, effort estimations, and feasibility studies About UBS: UBS is the world's largest and the only truly global wealth manager, operating through four business divisions: Global Wealth Management, Personal & Corporate Banking, Asset Management, and the Investment Bank.
