Job Description

Role Overview: As a Team Manager at Hitachi Energy, you will be responsible for leading software engineering teams in the design, development, and maintenance of Web & Desktop Applications and other solutions. Your role will involve mentoring the Applications & Solutions team, overseeing the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring optimal performance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and mentor the Applications & Solutions team, providing clear direction, motivation, and purpose. - Conduct performance evaluations, support career growth initiatives, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. - Assign and monitor resources to maximize efficiency and deliverables globally. - Define guidelines, allocate project tasks, motivate and monitor resources, and provide performance feedback on project progress. - Lead software engineering teams through the SDLC, including architectural design, development, testing, integration, and post-release. - Establish and enforce quality standards and performance metrics throughout the project lifecycle. - Act as the key contact for customers and stakeholders, building and maintaining strong relationships and effectively communicating project updates. - Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, procedures, and guidelines. - Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for your actions and caring for colleagues and the business. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree with 10-12 years of experience in software engineering. - 2+ years of experience in a PMO or project coordination role. - Strong technical knowledge in application development. - Excellent knowledge in Application Requirement refinement, Design, Development, Testing Requirements, Agile/Scrum methodologies. - Proficiency in MS Excel and project management tools (e.g., MS Project). - Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. - Experience with cost forecasting and project reporting preferred. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex projects. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement. - Proficiency in both spoken and written English language.
