Job Description

As a Business Development Manager in the industrial automation field, you will be responsible for driving business growth and achieving sales targets in the assigned region. Your key roles and responsibilities will include: You will be tasked with generating business by achieving sales and order booking targets along with your team. This will involve preparing and implementing business plans on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing gross profit targets for the industry and overseeing CRM and Account Management activities. Utilize these resources for effective planning and forecasting. Conducting Tech days/Seminars at key customers will also be part of your responsibilities. Developing new customers in the assigned region and increasing in-house business shares in existing customers will be crucial. You will also play a key role in partner management, including managing Channel Partners, System Integrators, Solution Partners, and distributors in consultation with the Channel Management Department. Building and maintaining strong relationships with OEMs, End Users, and Channel Partners is essential. In terms of team management, you will be responsible for monitoring and reviewing the performance of your team against assigned targets. Developing the capabilities and skills of team members to enhance productivity and retaining high-potential members through engagement and recognition will be important. Providing leadership, guidance, and effective communication to team members are also part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will be involved in data management and analysis, maintaining and analyzing industry-specific data as per business needs. You will prepare various MIS reports, presentations, etc., as required. To qualify for this role, you should have a B.E or equivalent diploma with at least 12 years of experience in industrial automation field sales, primarily in the Food & Commodities segment. An MBA or equivalent in any stream is preferred. Core functional knowledge of industrial automation products like PLC, HMI, SCADA, and Motion Servos is required, and experience in handling OEMs and End Users in industrial automation is beneficial. Key skills and behavioral competencies for this role include good communication skills in English, both verbal and written. You should possess a sales aptitude with sound market and industry knowledge, good negotiation skills, and the ability to present effectively. Leadership skills to guide and lead a diverse team, as well as management skills for planning, forecasting, strategizing, problem-solving, and decision-making, are essential for success in this role.,
