Role & responsibilities

Interpreting and implementing quality assurance initiatives as per NABH standards in hospital to ensure delivery of quality care to patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as Custodian for Clinical protocols at unit level and ensure high standards of patient care
• Responsible for Interpreting and implementing quality assurance initiatives as per NABH standards in hospital and to ensure delivery of quality care to patients.
• Development of departmental policies and Procedures, as per NABH norms
• Ensure compliance to Quality indicator benchmarks and participation in quality initiatives.
• Undertake focused audits, mocks surveys, surprise audits to assess state of readiness for accreditation and focusing upon continual improvement.
• Work in association with a consistent team to co-ordinate quality initiatives and provide consistency in such initiatives.
• Ensure that proper Standard Operative Procedures are in place for the efficient admission, care and discharge of patients
• Set up & ensure the regular functioning of the following clinical committees, in consultation with the Medical Superintendent
• Hospital Infection Control Committee
• Academic Council
• Pharmacy therapeutic Council
• Quality Management Services
• Monitor Diagnostic facilities (Radiology, Pathology, Dental, IVF) to ensure service quality levels
• Ensure proper upkeep & confidentiality of medical records & patient documentation
• Responsible for all medical licenses & statutory requirements
• Imparting training to employees regarding quality protocols as per NABH standards.
• Measuring training effectiveness by conducting surprise audits
• Calculation of resident duty hours
• To coordinate discharge of patients in the role of discharge coordinator
• Any other task assigned by the HOD and the management
