Team Leader-Accounting Shared Services

What You will be doing:

• A proactive approach to supporting the Director in reviewing, mapping evaluating existing accounting processes and targeting improvements based on business impact, cost saving and technical complexity.
• Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals. Have the ability to improve accounting processes, provide team metrics, train staff on finance processes and promote a strong internal controls environment.
• You have the ability to take end to end ownership of critical tasks in a multifunctional environment, and also your own learning and development.
• Responsible for supervising a team of 2-3 International Accounting Specialists in their day-to-day work as well as completing their own tasks and ensuring their team hits required performance metrics.

We re looking for someone with:

• A qualified Accountant or relevant equivalent (e.g. Finance degree with appropriate work experience)
• A minimum 5 years of strong experience working in a finance role with responsibility for high quality outcomes, as well as supervision of a team with an exposure to R2R process, PL Analysis and Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Excellent understanding of IFRS and US GAAP accounting.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite; experience of Accounting ERP software, with Oracle SaaS Financials as an added benefit.
