TCO Turbine – Field / Turbine Desk Operation

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and control steam turbines and auxiliaries (governing systems, lube oil system, seal oil system, condensers, and feedwater systems) through DCS/SCADA and in the field.
• Ensure turbine startup, synchronization, load management, and shutdown as per SOP.
• Monitor turbine parameters (speed, vibration, temperature, steam flow) and take corrective actions in case of abnormalities.
• Carry out routine field inspections of turbines, gearboxes, bearings, gland seals, vacuum systems, and condensate pumps.
• Maintain turbine efficiency by coordinating with Boiler Desk operators for proper steam conditions.
• Handle alarms and emergency scenarios, including overspeed, high vibration, and trip conditions.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, permit-to-work (PTW), and lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Maintain shift logs, equipment status reports, and operational records.
• Coordinate with Shift Incharge, Boiler Desk, and Maintenance teams for planned shutdowns, inspections, and overhauls.
• Follow environmental and statutory norms while ensuring smooth operation.

Qualifications

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in steam turbine operation (preferably in a 25 MW or higher capacity thermal power plant).

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
