We are a team of software developers with strong engineering and physics background responsible for creating physics-based simulation tools that are essential for developing next generation, angstrom-era Intel transistors.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing new capabilities to existing devices and process simulation software and debugging and fixing bugs
  • Developing new physical models and improving existing ones
  • Collaborating directly with the TCAD applications engineers in the US and other geographies to understand model deficiencies and developing new physical models and/or improving existing ones to address those
  • Collaborating directly with the experimental research, process, and design teams to define experiments and present recommendations that achieve the scaling path for the logic, memory, and analog devices in advanced-node, industry-leading products

Qualifications:You must possess the minimum qualifications below to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. The experience listed below may be obtained through schoolwork, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be pursuing or recently completed an MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or other relevant related degrees with a software focus
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience programming in C/C++ or python
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in software development for any of the following areas: semiconductor devices, process or stress modeling, computational geometry, engineering computation, computational physics

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Research or thesis experience in semiconductor device physics and modeling expertise in particular areas of interest including quantum transport, device transport, novel transistor architectures, and process flow physics
  • 4+ years of experience in software development in high performance computing, computation modeling and numerical methods
  • A strong background in data structure and algorithms, and software development
  • Advanced device transport, quantum effects, electronic structure, device novel device and memory operation, optoelectronics, mesh generation, software architecture and numerical methods for device problems and parallel programming
  • Defect-coupled diffusion/activation, computational materials science, FEM based stress simulation, high-k/metal gate materials and interfaces, modeling of novel processes and materials, software architecture, numerical methods for process problems, three-dimension meshing and computational geometry, and parallel programming
  • Publications that demonstrate expertise in such areas as device physics or process flow physics
