Job Title: Tax Support Specialist


Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Tax Support Specialist to join our team on a full-time remote basis. The primary focus of this role is to ensure all tax-related documents are accurately gathered, organized, and prepared for tax filing, while also handling sales tax and franchise tax payments on behalf of our company and our clients.


Key Responsibilities

 Proactively reach out to clients via electronic communication (email, client portal messages, secure file-sharing platforms, etc.) to request missing tax documents (W-2s, 1099s, receipts, profit & loss statements, bank statements, etc.)

 Organize and maintain digital tax files for multiple business clients

 Track document receipt deadlines and send timely follow-up reminders via electronic communication

 Prepare organized tax packets/folders for delivery to the accountant or tax preparer

 Process and pay state sales tax returns and franchise tax filings for Kingdom Bookkeeping and select clients

 Reconcile sales tax and franchise tax accounts as needed

 Maintain accurate records of all tax payments and filings

 Serve as the main point of contact for tax-document-related inquiries from clients (via electronic communication only)

 Ensure compliance with tax deadlines and requirements


Qualifications

 Strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail

 Excellent written communication skills and professionalism in all electronic client correspondence  Comfortable working with spreadsheets, Google Drive/Dropbox, client portals, and basic bookkeeping software

 Basic understanding of sales tax and franchise tax requirements (training provided)

 Prior experience in bookkeeping, administrative support, or tax preparation is a plus

 Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

 Reliable, proactive, and discreet with sensitive financial information
