Tax Specialist

As a Tax Analyst 1 at our company, you will play a crucial role as a trainee professional. Your responsibilities will include a good understanding of various processes, procedures, and systems relevant to your tasks. You are expected to have a basic comprehension of the underlying concepts and principles of the job. Your ability to make evaluative judgments based on factual information will guide you in resolving problems effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Possess a basic understanding and working knowledge of IRS Forms W-8, W-9, 1098, 1099 series, 1042-S, 945, and 1042 - Familiarity with U.S. tax information reporting rules for U.S. Persons and non-U.S. Persons - Contribute to planning, accounting, filing, and reporting of the company's tax liability - Provide advice on procedures and concepts in your technical/subject area - Work towards improving process efficiencies within your unit - Apply policies to the business based on conceptual and practical grounding - Perform assigned duties and functions efficiently - Assess risks appropriately in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations - Utilize excellent communication skills to engage with key stakeholders - Offer basic advisory services primarily for internal clients - Ability to examine processes and procedures with experience in Process Re-engineering - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint Qualifications: - 1 to 3 years of relevant tax experience - Mandatory experience in CRS, FATCA due diligence or withholding, or IRS reporting for client tax reporting Education: - Bachelor's degree In addition to your core responsibilities, you will be expected to demonstrate Assessment, Credible Challenge, Financial Acumen, Management Reporting, and Risk Management skills.
