Tax Manager

As a Tax Manager at Grant Thornton INDUS, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the review of complex federal and state tax returns of US Individuals and Trusts, such as Form 1040 and 1041. Your responsibilities will include staying updated with tax law changes, managing high net worth individual clients and large engagements, and ensuring quality assurance for projects handled by the team. Key Responsibilities: - Perform Manager review of complex federal and state tax returns prepared by associates and first-level reviewed by senior associates/Assistant Manager - Stay up-to-date with tax law changes and apply them to tax returns - Manage high net worth individual clients and large engagements - Ensure Quality Assurance for projects handled by the team - Identify technical issues on engagements and provide recommendations to the engagement teams - Act as a subject matter expert and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team - Coach the team on technical concepts and participate actively in technical forums - Train team members on high technical concepts and mentor them for skill development - Build professional relationships with engagement teams and act as a SPOC/liaison with US offices Qualifications Required: - Solid experience in reviewing federal and state tax returns of US Individuals and Trusts - Strong understanding of tax law changes and their application - Ability to manage high net worth clients and large engagements - Excellent communication and leadership skills to coach and mentor team members - Proven track record of identifying technical issues and providing recommendations - Experience in building professional relationships and acting as a subject matter expert - Prior experience in engaging with US offices and serving as a SPOC/liaison About Grant Thornton INDUS: Grant Thornton INDUS comprises GT U.S. Shared Services Center India Pvt Ltd and Grant Thornton U.S. Knowledge and Capability Center India Pvt Ltd.
