Job Title: Customer Service Specialist (CSS)

Band: L1

Reports to

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service

    :
    • Greet customers in a friendly and approachable manner.
    • Assist customers in finding products and answering questions about product features, pricing, and availability.
    • Provide product demonstrations, if applicable.
    • Handle customer complaints or issues professionally, escalating them to management if necessary.
  2. Sales

    :
    • Actively promote store products and services to meet and exceed sales goals.
    • Cross-sell and upsell products to maximize sales opportunities.
    • Stay informed about current promotions and discounts to communicate with customers effectively.
    • Process sales transactions at the register, including handling cash, credit, and other forms of payment.
  3. Merchandising & Inventory

    :
    • Assist in stocking shelves and organizing product displays.
    • Ensure that merchandise is displayed neatly and attractively.
    • Monitor inventory levels and notify management when items need to be reordered.
    • Assist in periodic inventory counts as needed.
  4. Store Maintenance

    :
    • Keep the store clean, tidy, and well-organized.
    • Ensure aisles and displays are free from clutter and hazards.
    • Report any store maintenance or safety concerns to management.
  5. Teamwork

    :
    • Collaborate with team members and management to create a positive work environment.
    • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.
  6. Other Duties

    :
    • Perform other tasks as assigned by management to support store operations.

Key Qualifications:

  • High School (10+2) / Diploma or equivalent
  • Customer service or retail experience (preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and holidays
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and counting inventory
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (depending on store requirements)
