Tally Prime Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a diligent and highly proficient Tally Prime Operator to oversee our daily financial data entry and statutory compliance operations. The ideal candidate will possess command over Tally Prime navigation, a strong grasp of GST frameworks, and the ability to execute end-to-end GST filing procedures. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our books of accounts and ensuring strict adherence to tax deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Accounting: Execute accurate day-to-day bookkeeping, including the recording of purchase, sales, receipt, payment, and contra entries within Tally Prime.
• GST Data Management: Manage GST compliance workflows, including the calculation of tax liabilities and the precise reconciliation of GSTR-2A/2B against purchase registers.
• Statutory Filing: Handle the preparation and timely filing of GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B returns. (Familiarity with GSTR-9/9C annual returns is considered an asset).
• Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations and meticulous ledger reconciliations for vendors and customers to identify and rectify discrepancies.
• Record Maintenance: Maintain organized physical and digital archives of invoices, vouchers, and relevant tax documentation for audit readiness.
• TDS Compliance: Manage basic TDS deductions, entries, and payment schedules.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Technical Proficiency: Expert-level operational knowledge of Tally Prime software is mandatory.
• Taxation Knowledge: Thorough understanding of GST laws, HSN code classifications, and applicable tax rates.
• Educational Background: 12th pass (Commerce), B.Com, M.Com, or MBA in Finance.
• Certification Preference: Candidates who have completed a professional Tally Prime Certification (such as those offered by TalentMark Academy) will be given distinct preference.
• Core Attributes: High data entry speed with exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to meet strict statutory deadlines.
