Job Description

A Tally Operator's job description includes managing financial and inventory data, performing data entry of transactions, and generating financial reports using Tally software. Key responsibilities involve processing invoices, reconciling bank statements, handling accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with tax-related entries like GST and TDS. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Key responsibilities

  • Data Entry: Perform data entry for daily sales, purchases, receipts, and payments in Tally ERP.
  • Billing and Invoicing: Generate and issue sales invoices, purchase bills, and credit/debit notes.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and other accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Inventory Management: Track inventory movement, monitor stock levels, and update inventory data in Tally.
  • Taxation and Compliance: Handle tax-related entries such as GST and TDS, and generate tax reports.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and assist in the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable transactions, including payment collection.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensure proper documentation.
  • Auditing: Assist in internal and external audits and conduct regular checks to ensure data integrity.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments for data requirements and assist with financial tasks.

Qualifications and skills

  • Proficiency in Tally ERP software is essential.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Experience with MS Excel for data analysis is often required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and numerical skills.
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is often preferred.
  • Experience with GST and TDS is a key requirement.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
