Tableau Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive

  Tableau dashboards, reports, and visualizations

• Write complex and optimized

  SQL queries

  to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources
• Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather reporting and analytics requirements
  
• Perform data validation, quality checks, and troubleshooting of Tableau reports
  
• Optimize dashboard performance by improving queries, extracts, and data models
  
• Integrate Tableau with various data sources such as relational databases, data warehouses, and cloud platforms
  
• Develop calculated fields, parameters, sets, and table calculations in Tableau
  
• Ensure best practices for data visualization, usability, and performance
  
• Document dashboard logic, data definitions, and technical processes
  
• Support production issues and enhancements for existing BI solutions
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience

  as a Tableau Developer or BI Developer
• Strong expertise in

  SQL

  (complex joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions, performance tuning)
• Extensive experience with

  Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Prep

• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, snowflake schema)
  
• Experience working with large datasets and data warehouses
  
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical and analytical solutions
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms such as

  AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Exposure to ETL tools or scripting (Python, Alteryx, Informatica, etc.)
  
• Knowledge of other BI tools (Power BI, Looker) is a plus
  
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
  

Education

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
