System Test Engineer

• System Test Engineer builds from the ground up to meet the needs of mission-critical applications, and is always looking for innovative approaches to deliver end-to-end technical solutions to solve customer problems.
• Brings technical thinking to break down complex data and to engineer new ideas and methods for solving, prototyping, designing, and implementing cloud-based solutions.
• Collaborates with project managers and development partners to ensure effective and efficient delivery, deployment, operation, monitoring, and support of Cloud engagements.
• The cloud developer provides business value expertise to drive the development of innovative service offerings that enrich HPEs Cloud Services portfolio across multiple systems, platforms, and applications.

Contributions impact technical components of HPE products, solutions, or services regularly and sustainably. Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Provides expertise and partnership to functional and technical project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for achieving objectives. May provide team leadership and mentoring to others.

• Leads the project team for design and development of complex products and platforms testing, and automation for building efficient, scalable and robust cloud subsystems.
• Reviews and evaluates designs and test plans and develops scripts.
• Provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate risks.
• Represents the engineering team in various technical forums and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced team members.
• Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software systems design organization.

• Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or closely related quantitative discipline.
• Typically, 7-10 years experience.

• Should have strong networking skills and to resolve network issues
• Should have good debugging skills
• Should have good knowledge on Cloud architecture
• Should have worked on building complex customer setups from scratch
• Should have knowledge on Wireless Networking
• Should have hands on knowledge on scripting
• Should have hands on using tools like Ixia, Spirent, Veriwave, Wireshark
• Should have good exposure to Linux architecture
• Should have good communication skills
• Should be good knowledge on writing Test plans, Bugs, Reviewing technical documents
• Should have interest on exploring the tools
• Should be a good team member, self-motivated and stretch hands for helping team members
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures and design proposals at senior management levels.
