System Support Engineer

As a candidate with 0 to 6 months of experience, your role will involve providing first-level technical support to end-users through various channels such as phone, email, chat, or in-person. Your responsibilities will include: - Diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals. - Performing installations, configurations, and upgrades of computer systems and software. - Assisting with password resets, user account management, and access provisioning. - Documenting and tracking issues, resolutions, and work performed in the ticketing system. - Escalating unresolved issues to higher-level support teams when necessary. - Providing guidance and training to end-users on best practices and the use of IT resources. - Maintaining and updating knowledge base articles and technical documentation. - Ensuring compliance with company policies and IT standards. - Assisting with inventory management and asset tracking for IT equipment. - Supporting IT projects and initiatives as required. In addition to the above, you should have proven experience in a similar desktop support or technical support role. Some of the skills required for this position include: - Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems. - Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other commonly used software. - Strong knowledge and understanding of networking principles and troubleshooting (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong communication and customer service skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures. This is a full-time job with a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday. The work location is in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, so you should be willing to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work. The total work experience required is 1 year.,
