Description
The System Manager position primarily involves managing SAP GBT (GxP & Business Critical), SAP ATTP (GxP & Business Critical), Open Text, and UDI systems with a focus on maintenance and support planning. You will collaborate closely with the project team on Business Application Onboarding activities. Additionally, you will be responsible for authorization tasks related to GxP systems, system budget planning and management, and periodic system management activities. It is crucial to ensure that the IT system complies with both internal and external requirements to maintain a validated state. Your duties will include supervising the day-to-day usage, operation, and maintenance of the computer system, contracting services from suppliers and vendors as required, validating computer systems and application services, implementing IT security procedures, preparing requirement specifications for computer systems, managing system configurations and tests, overseeing computer system users, mitigating computer system risks, handling IT incidents, and leading major incident and disaster recovery efforts in IT. You will also manage the system budget, track expenses, plan for future expenditures, maintain system contracts, and keep stakeholders informed of any deviations. As the System Manager, you will be responsible for system transition as directed by management, participating in release and upgrade schedules, monitoring technical information, validating new functionality, and representing the system during audits and inspections. You will have the authority to approve documents as per the QMS process and oversee SAP GBT, ATTP, Open Text, and UDI systems, including relevant authorization tasks. You will work independently without direct supervision, occasionally seeking guidance when needed. Furthermore, you may delegate, mentor, or train System Management activities to the System Manager Delegate. Your tasks will involve communication and interaction with various stakeholders, including system owners, data owners, SMEs, department managers, project managers, IT QC/QA, SAP users, and IT service providers.
