System Integration Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Purpose

The Mid-Level System Integration Engineer will design, build, and maintain integrations across internal and external platforms, working independently on API, cloud, and data workflows.

Duties and responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain REST API integrations and authentication flows.

2. Build automation workflows using AWS services such as S3 and Lambda.

3. Develop Python-based backend logic for integrations and automation.

4. Implement integration dataflows and connectors across multiple systems.

5. Manage Git repositories, branching, and code review processes.

6. Enhance CI/CD pipelines and lead deployment activities for integration services.

7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, DevOps, QA, Engineering).

8. Troubleshoot integration issues and optimize system workflows.

9. Provide guidance to junior engineers on coding standards and integration practices.

Skills/Experience

Experience & Background

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent.
• Experience working on system integration projects.
• Exposure to multi-platform integrations, SaaS systems, or cloud-native environments.

Technical Skillset

• REST APIs

  – Strong experience in API development and integration.

• AWS Services

  – Working knowledge of cloud automation and architecture.

• Python

  – Good scripting and backend development skills.

• Data Integration

  – Experience implementing data connectors and workflows.

• Version Control (Git)

  – Strong command of Git workflows and code reviews.

• CI/CD

  – Experience building and deploying via pipelines.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Adaptability to evolving priorities and project requirements.
• Ability to mentor junior team members.
