System Engineer

Job Overview:

We are looking for a System Engineer with strong fundamentals in servers, networking, Microsoft office 365, and hardware troubleshooting. The candidate should be capable of handling day-to-day infrastructure operations, VM management, basic Office 365 administration, and system maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux laptops and servers.
• Perform system updates, patching, user management, and log analysis.
• Diagnose and resolve server hardware, RAID, storage, and BIOS-related issues.
• Support desktops/laptops: OS installation, imaging, drivers, hardware replacement.
• Troubleshoot network basics: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, VLANs, Wi-Fi.
• Work with diagnostic tools like ping, traceroute, nslookup, netstat, ipconfig/ifconfig.
• Manage VMs on VMware / Esxi / Hyper-V.
• Handle storage basics (RAID levels, NFS/SMB) and backup verification.
• Office 365: Basic user/mailbox management, license assignment, MFA and SharePoint/One Drive/Teams support.
• Maintain documentation, asset inventory, and provide L1/L2 IT support.

Required Skills:

• Strong fundamentals in servers, networks, and hardware.
• Hands-on experience with Windows & Linux environments.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of virtualisation and system monitoring.

Preferred Skills:

• Basic scripting (Power Shell).
• Basics of Cloud.
