Job Description

As a Control Logics Engineer at Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC), you will be part of a team of skilled engineers focusing on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision, and commissioning. The INOPC has grown to become the largest engineering hub, playing a key role in Hitachi Energy's Power Up transformation program. Your mission will be to identify, explore, and implement technology and product development strategies to enhance the global positioning of the business. You will ensure project execution, drive innovation, and develop R&D capabilities to contribute to profitability. Your responsibilities will include designing and testing control logics, simulating control logics and algorithms in PSCAD/Matlab environment, pre-studies of new power technologies, and hardware integration interfacing with RTDS. You will be expected to embody Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your actions while caring for your colleagues and the business. To be successful in this role, you should have a ME Power Systems or ME Power Electronics degree with at least 3 years of experience. Experience in modelling voltage sourced converters (VSC) for HVDC, FACTS, or drives is required. Proficiency in simulation tools like EMTDC/PSCAD, PSS/E, RTDS, and calculations in Matlab is essential. Understanding the application of Power Electronics in HV/EHV systems and hands-on experience in power system studies such as load flow, short circuit, transient stability, and switching transients for utility/industrial systems is crucial. You should possess good knowledge of Power Systems equipment including Power Transformers, Capacitors, Reactors, Instrument Transformers, Circuit Breakers, Disconnectors, and Surge Arrestors. Additionally, you should be familiar with the selection, sizing, integration, and testing of equipment based on customer specifications.,
