Key Responsibilities: • Design high voltage air break disconnectors and related isolation equipment for use in power transmission and distribution systems. • Develop detailed mechanical and electrical drawings using CAD/S3NX software, ensuring compliance with relevant standards (IEC, ANSI, IEEE). • Perform mechanical and electrical simulations and calculations to validate design integrity and performance under specified operating conditions. • Select appropriate materials and components to meet electrical, mechanical, and environmental requirements. • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable. • Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and failure mode analysis to improve product reliability and safety. • Support prototyping, testing, activities, including resolving design issues identified during these phases. • Maintain documentation for design changes, compliance, and certification purposes. • Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and technologies to incorporate improvements into designs. • Liaise with customers and suppliers to tailor designs to specific project needs. • Conduct Type Tests for the Products.
