Job Description

As a System and Network Administrator at the organization, you will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing the IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and data integrity. Your responsibilities will include: - **IT Infrastructure Management:** - Administering and maintaining all company systems including Windows, Linux, and cloud-based platforms. - Overseeing user management, policy enforcement, and system health across Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments. - Planning and executing system upgrades, patch management, and infrastructure scaling as per operational needs. - **Network & Cybersecurity:** - Configuring, monitoring, and securing enterprise networks including routers, switches, VLANs, and VPNs. - Managing firewalls and enforcing network security policies with expertise in CCNP/JNCIA-level tools. - Proactively identifying, reporting, and mitigating cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and potential data leaks. - **Data Protection & Continuity:** - Implementing and routinely testing backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans. - Ensuring reliable storage systems (NAS/SAN) with secure access controls and encryption. - **Peripheral Systems Oversight:** - Managing and integrating peripheral systems like CCTV, biometric access, and IoT data points into the IT backbone. - Ensuring uptime, secure data logging, and network-level visibility for all connected devices. - **Operational Support & Optimisation:** - Providing L2/L3 support to internal teams for system, network, and hardware issues. - Maintaining structured documentation including network topologies, system configurations, asset tracking, and SOPs. - Regularly assessing and improving system performance, security posture, and scalability readiness. **Mandatory Skills & Experience:** - Minimum 5 years of experience in managing full-stack IT infrastructure. - Proven expertise in Microsoft tools, Google Workspace, and Linux system administration. - Hands-on experience in firewall configuration, enterprise networking, and cybersecurity practices. - Strong grasp of data backup technologies and incident recovery protocols. - Familiarity with CCTV, biometric, and IoT system management in an industrial or office setup. - Ability to work independently, assess risks, and implement solutions with minimal supervision. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Certifications such as CCNP, JNCIA, MCSA, or Linux+ are highly desirable. - Exposure to cloud environments (AWS/GCP), containerization, or virtualization is an advantage. - Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline.
