We are seeking a Systems Analyst to join our high-impact Supply Chain Planning team in Bangalore. This techno-functional role is central to managing and evolving our planning systems, with a primary focus on the Inventory Optimizer database . The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in SQL database management , possess strong programming capabilities, and demonstrate a proactive attitude toward learning new technologies such as Java . You will be the go-to expert for all planning system improvements and play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the global supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
Database & Systems Management
- Own and manage the Inventory Optimizer database , ensuring data integrity, performance, and availability.
- Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries , stored procedures, and ETL processes to support planning workflows.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure seamless integration between planning systems (eg, SAP IBP, NetSuite, Anaplan, Tableau).
- Lead system enhancement initiatives across multiple platforms, not limited to a single tool or technology.
Programming & Technical Development
- Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline data processing and reporting tasks.
- Support the development and maintenance of internal planning tools using Python, Java, or other relevant languages .
- Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and apply new programming languages , especially Java , to support evolving system needs.
Techno-Functional Support
Analytics & Reporting
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports to support inventory optimization, forecast accuracy, and supply chain KPIs.
- Assist in the creation of leading indicators and predictive models to proactively identify risks and opportunities.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of data used in executive S&OP reviews and operational planning.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement opportunities to automate manual processes and improve system efficiency.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in supply chain systems, analytics, and programming.
- Contribute to a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous learning within the planning team.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field (Master s preferred).
- 9+ years of experience in a techno-functional role supporting supply chain or enterprise planning systems.
- Proven experience managing SQL databases and working with large datasets in a business-critical environment.
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MS SQL Server).
- Strong programming skills in Python and a willingness to learn Java and other languages as needed.
- Experience with data visualization tools (eg, Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with planning systems such as SAP IBP, NetSuite, Anaplan, or similar.
- Understanding of APIs, data integration, and automation frameworks is a plus.
