About NCR Atleos
Job Title System Administrator (Linux/Unix)
Job Location Mumbai, India

The Linux System Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting Linux/Unix servers, networks, and applications. They ensure the system is secure, reliable, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities

Provide support for Unix/Linux systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring optimal uptime and performance.

Perform routine system administration tasks, such as user management, file system management, and backup/restore operations.

Assist in the implementation of system upgrades and patches, following best practices and change management procedures.

Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve cross-functional issues and ensure seamless integration with other systems.

Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base.

Participate in on-call rotations and respond to system emergencies in a timely manner.

Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in Unix/Linux systems administration.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a similar field, or equivalent experience.

3-5 years of proven experience as a System Administrator in a similar role.

Strong understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems and associated technologies

Experience in C/C++ and programming in Linux environment are a must.

Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Linux+, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), or LPIC-1 are a plus.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position.

Candidates must work at least 4 days a week from the office.

Candidates should be ready to work in shifts. This team supports 24X7 on a rotating schedule.
