Job Title: System Administrator Experience: 1–5 years Location: Mohali Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled System Administrator to manage, maintain, and support our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring and maintaining servers, networks, and user systems, while providing both L1 (basic) and L2 (advanced) technical support. This role ensures optimal performance, security, and reliability of all IT systems. Key Responsibilities: System & Server Administration Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers and workstations. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues. Manage server patching, updates, and backups. User and Access Management Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and groups in Active Directory. Handle access issues, password resets, and role-based controls. Support & Troubleshooting Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues. Handle escalations from L1 support; perform root cause analysis. Maintain and respond to IT helpdesk tickets with timely resolution. Infrastructure & Tools Manage and support virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V). Support cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365, Azure, or AWS. Monitor security logs and ensure compliance with IT policies. Documentation & Reporting Maintain documentation of systems, configurations, and troubleshooting steps. Assist in defining SOPs and contribute to the internal knowledge base. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. 1–5 years of experience in a System Administrator or similar role. Proficiency with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Linux OS (Ubuntu, CentOS). Hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy. Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls). Experience with scripting tools (PowerShell, Bash) is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server/Modern Desktop Administrator CompTIA Network+ / Security+ Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) VMware or AWS certification (optional but preferred) Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday Education: Bachelor's (Preferred) Experience: System administration: 1 year (Preferred) Location: Mohali, Punjab (Preferred) Shift availability: Night Shift (Preferred) Work Location: In person
